I have spent my entire career as a medical oncologist at this hospital. Starting as an emergency room doctor in 1972, I have seen this hospital grow from a small community hospital to a comprehensive healthcare system, with facilities, equipment and programs rivaling those found in major metropolitan areas. Clearly, Frederick Regional Health System touches more lives in our community than any other organization..
While Frederick County has continued to grow, our hospital has worked hard to keep pace with that growth. With high ratings in customer service, quality performance and employee satisfaction, FMH has developed a culture of caring that stands equal to the best hospitals in the nation.
Constant reinvestment in new technologies, people and modern facilities are ongoing costly efforts, so we rely on the generosity of the Frederick Community to stay on the cutting edge.
On behalf of the many hard working volunteers of the FMH Development Council, and its Vice Chair, Jeff Hurwitz, I thank the hundreds of donors for all that you do for Frederick Memorial each year. Your hospital would not be what it is today without your support.
