When are the visiting hours?

The Baby's Father or Significant Other is allowed to visit 24hours/7days per week, and may spend the night. Other visitors are welcome between 12 noon and 8:00 p.m.

May I please see if (my neighbor, friend, co-worker, sister, etc) is having her baby?

Due to patient confidentiality rules the hospital staff may NOT give out any information concerning a patient except for room number and condition. If the patient would like for you to call her, only she may give you the extension to her room. If a patient wishes to remain 100% confidential, we will not give out any information at all.

Do you have private rooms on the Family Center and can I reserve one?

All rooms in the Family Center are private rooms. Our Family Center rooms have a beautiful hardwood cherry decor with private bathroom facilities featuring showers and hair dryers. The rooms have lovely glider rockers for the comfort and convenience of our patients and guests. 

How do I have my car safety seat checked?

Please have your car seat checked prior to your admission to the hospital. Set up an appointment for a free car seat check by calling the FMH Wellness Center at (240) 379-6000.
