Blackberry Cobbler


Enjoy this delicious summer treat featuring fresh blackberries in a crisp crust.

What’s included?
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice 1 qt, 1 Cup Blackberries (fresh or frozen)
1 each Cobbler Dough Sheet
Yield: 10 Servings Portion Size: 1/2 Cup

How to make this dish:

Combine the sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice in a small pot and whisk until dissolved. Bring the liquid to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Stir the mixture constantly until slightly thick. Add the blackberries and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, remove from the heat and place filling into a roasting pan or spoon 1/2 cup of filling into individual ramekins. Top the filling with the cobbler dough and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Spoon out in 1/2 cup portions and serve immediately.

Notes from the chef:

For the cobbler dough sheet, use puff pastry dough or pie crust dough from the freezer section of your local grocery store.
