What do I need to know about my appointment?

To achieve maximum benefits from your program, you must be an active participant in your program, and we ask that you attend all scheduled sessions.

Please make every effort to be on time for your appointment. Your therapist may need to shorten your visit if you are late to avoid inconveniencing patients who follow. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment.

I’m scheduled for pool therapy. Is there anything I need to know about my appointment?

Here are a few guidelines to make the most of your time in the pool during treatment:

  • Please shower before and after your pool therapy. Showering before, helps to keep the pool clean, and showering after, removes the pool chemicals from your skin.
  • Do not apply any lotions before your appointment.
  • Towels are provided.
  • As a courtesy to others, please rinse off in the shower in your swimsuit. Only remove your swimsuit once you are in the changing area. We ask that you remain covered at all times.
  • If you are sick, please don’t hesitate to call and reschedule your appointment. Due to health regulations, no one is permitted in the pool if you have had diarrhea within the last 24hrs or have any open wounds, lesions, or rashes.
  • Due to the size of our pool we are only able to provide patients with skilled care. Once you have achieved the goals set forth in your evaluation, we will encourage you to continue treatment at an alternate pool facility.

What should I bring or wear to my appointment?

For ease of your treatment, please bring or wear loose comfortable clothing, bathing suit (aquatic therapy only), eye glasses, and/or hearing aids.
