Frederick Memorial Hospital has been mid-Maryland's leader in providing a broad-spectrum approach to women's health services. An early adopter of the wellness model as the single most important component of keeping illness and debilitation at bay, the FMH Wellness Center has been providing programs focused upon women's health for many years. Yoga, pilates, Tai Chi, nutrition counseling, weight management programs, complementary therapies such as therapeutic massage, Reiki therapy and reflexology have all been components of the women's wellness initiative that have been designed to keep the women of Frederick County healthy and vibrant.

When wellness programs weren't enough, FMH diagnostic services have been available throughout the years providing private diagnostic imaging services with state-of-the-art technologies for mammography, ultrasound, MRI and breast biopsy services.  And if the diagnostics indicate the need for interventional procedures, the Regional Cancer Therapy Center, located across the street from the hospital, provides discreet and compassionate care in Intravenous Therapy, Radiation Treatments and CyberKnife Radio Surgery.

Women's Imaging Suite

In a private, women-only setting, you have easy access to a full complement of imaging services including digital mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI and biopsy.
With two radiologists on site, women know the results of their mammogram before they leave the center.  Follow up images can be taken immediately, and any additional procedures are scheduled with the help of a personal navigator.

Women's Center for Breast Care

Women who are diagnosed with breast health issues receive the most advanced treatment and care from Fellowship Trained breast surgeon, Dr. Susan Bahl.

Women's Rehabilitation Suite

Breast surgery, childbirth, aging and additional factors can lead to specialized rehabilitation needs. In a supportive and private setting, women can move forward with their treatment plans using biofeedback to measure improvement.

Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic

The multidisciplinary breast cancer clinic brings together all of the physician experts in the field of breast cancer to discuss your case.  Medical and radiation oncologists, a breast surgeon and a reconstructive plastic surgeon are all in the same room at the same time discussing your case and the best course of action.

Women's Health Navigator

Patient navigators are members of the health care team whose sole mission is to guide patients through the medical maze stretching out before them. Navigators answer questions, identify resources, and serve as a liaison between the patient and the health care team. Research has shown navigators improve the time between diagnosis and treatment for an identified illness or condition. Learn more
