Frequently Asked Questions

Who can witness my Advance Directives?

Two witnesses are needed. Generally, any competent adult, 18 years of age or older, can be a witness. Also, one of the two witnesses must be someone who will not receive money or property from your estate. Neither witness should be your healthcare agent or alternate healthcare agent.
