The George L. Shields Emergency Department
The new Emergency Department opened in full capacity in April of 2004. The department and new facility were officially dedicated to the memory of George L. Shields in May of 2004. Generous support from the George L. Shields Foundation helped the hospital realize its ambitious construction and renovation goals for the new Emergency Department which will provide care to more than 70,000 patients this year alone.

The Shields Emergency Department is one of the largest emergency departments in the region. With over 24,000 square feet, the ED houses:

FMH Regional Cancer Therapy Center
The FMH Regional Cancer Therapy Center is the culmination of nearly a decade of planning, spurred by the desire to provide the community with comprehensive state-of-the-art cancer treatment close to home, in an environment that fosters a spirit of cooperation and support.
The 26,000 square foot facility houses the latest technology in outpatient cancer therapy, and it is located directly across Seventh Street from the hospital. Click Here to learn more about the FMH Regional Cancer Therapy Center.
FMH Rose Hill
FMH Rose Hill is a bright, airy, and comfortable health services center designed for patient convenience, cost savings, and efficiency. From our easy-to-get-to location and ample parking to our friendly greeters and computerized advance registration system, we’ve done everything possible to help you avoid paperwork and waiting time. Comprehensive Imaging Services, Rehabilitation Services and pre-admission testing are available on campus. FMH Rose Hill is located on the Opossumtown Pike just North of Frederick. Mt. Airy Health Services
As Frederick County has grown FMH has continually strived to provide healthcare to the citizens of the county in convenient, easily accessible locations. FMH extended its service reach into the Southeast quadrant of the county several years ago, and the satellite site in Mt. Airy has grown steadily ever since.
In 2008, Carroll Hospital Center and Frederick Memorial Healthcare System joined forces to create Mt. Airy Health Services, bringing more physicians, more specialists and more advanced health care services to the area than ever before. The location is the same, 1502 South Main Street in Mt. Airy.

FMH Wellness Center at FSK Mall
The FMH Wellness Center is a division of Frederick Memorial Healthcare System which promotes healthier lifestyles by providing health education classes, health screenings, and a wide variety of individual services. New Direction Weight Management, Childbirth Education, Therapeutic Massage and Yoga Classes are just a few of the programs offered by the FMH Wellness Center. FMH Crestwood

Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
In partnership with Frederick Memorial Healthcare System and Adventist HealthCare, Glade Valley is a 124-bed facility located in Walkersville, Maryland, offering comprehensive nursing and rehabilitation services and a 36 bed Alzheimer Unit. Click Here for more information about Glade Valley.
