Open Communication
FMH began the “Employer of Choice” initiative as a strategy to fill vacancies and minimize dependence on contract and agency personnel. Its goal was to improve our success in the recruitment and retention of competent staff. We began by listening to our existing employee population and discussing the reasons they joined FMH, the things that keep them working here, and even the things that might make them consider leaving! We continue to use the feedback employees gave us in plotting our future course. We’ve made changes, both large and small, to make FMH an even better place to work. And we’ve been successful in attracting and retaining additional staff.
