Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)

Frederick County's LEPC, a broad coalition of scientific, media, private medical and municipal authorities, has been planning response procedures should a local emergency or national disaster strike the homeland.

The LEPC Brochure will answer such questions as:

• What should I do to prepare?
• How should I respond?
• What is the most important item to have in an emergency kit?

Frederick County Department of Emergency Preparedness 

The Frederick County Department of Emergency Preparedness encourages all residents to follow the guidance outlined in the Plan 9 Campaign.  Plan 9 is a simple guide to encourage citizens to start a conversation with their family members and employees about emergency preparedness and to encourage them to make a plan and a kit using nine essential items to shelter in place during an emergency.
