Center for Addiction and Pregnancy Program (CAP)
Associated with Johns Hopkins Medical System This is the only inpatient detoxification program available in the State of Maryland
- Designed to serve pregnant women who are withdrawing from drugs and/or alcohol.
- Program is located in Baltimore and lasts for 8 days. Child care is provides for children 5 years and younger.
- Assists with discharge planning and follows the patient throughout the pregnancy and post-partum period.
- Provides referrals for outpatient substance abuse treatment, financial services and housing programs.
- Accepts medical assistance, self pay and commercial insurance

Safe Harbor
Part of the Mountain Manor program
- For admission, please contact the Frederick County Health Department at 301-600-2214.
- Program has 10 to 15 beds, serving counties from Carroll County west.
- Physician is available to assist with detoxification symptoms.
- Residential program during the prenatal time through 2 months after delivery (children can live return with the mothers).

Provides housing, individual and group substance abuse counseling, mental health therapy, life skills, parenting skills, job training and placement services, assists with helping patients obtain GED, and provide case management services to assist with independent housing, social services supplements and outpatient services.

- For admission, Frederick County residents should contact the Frederick County Health Department at 301-600-2214. Washington County residents should contact the Washington County Health Department at 240-313-3398. The Health Departments assess to assure the patient meets criteria per the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration (ADAA).
- There are saved beds under special funding for pregnant women who are currently using substances however they accept medical assistance & commercial insurance.
- 12-month residential program for pregnant women or mothers. Women can bring up to 3 children under the age of 13.
- Mother must have successfully completed a 28 day inpatient program OR be stable with an intensive outpatient substance abuse program.
- Provides housing, individual and group substance abuse counseling, mental health therapy, life skills, parenting skills, job training and placement services, assists with helping patients obtain GED, and provide case management services to assist with independent housing, social services supplements and outpatient services.
Hudson Health Services Inc of Salisbury, MD
- Residential short-term treatment (30 days or less). They do not detox pregnant women but will accept medically stable pregnant women for their program.
- Insurance accepted self-payment, medical assistance, and commercial insurance.
- Provide individual and group substance abuse treatment and mental health counseling if applicable.
