In the gait lab, the FScan computer software is teamed with four closed-circuit digital TV cameras to provide full body analysis of the gait from various angles. Paper thin sensors are placed in the shoes you wear to walk in the lab. As you walk, Dr. Levine views and records the reactive forces between your foot and the shoe, and evaluates alignment and biomechanical position.

Aches and pains, even in your back, can sometimes be related to the way you walk. Utilizing gait analysis services can aid in obtaining important information in helping you walk better with less pain.

Diabetes mellitus is affecting more people in this country every year. It is estimated that 16 million people in the U.S. have diabetes mellitus. With diabetes comes an increase in complications affecting feet. The FScan Gait Analysis combined with Dartfish software are powerful tools that can be used to not only detect areas of pressure and potential ulceration, but also aid in finding ways to prevent complications and help reduce pressure from problem areas in your feet.
