Searching Tips

 

 

Following are tips/suggestions to aid you in searching for Clinical trials

You may search any of the following:

·         Disease or Condition - used to specify diseases or conditions

·         Experimental Treatment - drugs, devices, procedures, or vaccines used in trials

·         Trial Location:

o        Trial Facility - facility where trials are being conducted

o        City - city where trials are being conducted

o        State - state where trials are being conducted

o        Country - country where trials are being conducted

·         Additional Terms - other words or terms related to your search

·         Age Group - studies designed for participants of particular ages

·         Study Phase - studies grouped by stage of product development

·         Supported By - organizations that support or sponsor studies

·         NCT or Study ID - trial identification numbers, including ClinicalTrials.gov identifier

 

Examples:

 

To search for clinical trials at FMH, enter “Frederick Memorial Hospital” in the Facility field.  A list of trials that FMH is currently involved in, will be displayed.  To print this list, press the right mouse button and select the print option.  To see the detail for an individual trial, click on the trial.  To print this information, press the right mouse button and select the print option.

 

To search for any cancer clinical trials in the state of Maryland at any facility, enter “cancer’ in the Disease or Condition field and select the state of “Maryland” in the state field.  A list of trials will be displayed.  To see the detail for an individual trial, click on the trial.  To print this information, press the right mouse button and select the print option.
