March 9th is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day!
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day was created by the Academy of Nutrition
and Dietetics to recognize RDNs for their commitment to helping people
enjoy healthy lives.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionists are food and nutrition experts who can
translate the science of nutrition into practical and easy to understand
terms. RDN’s have degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public health,
or a related field, and are required to complete an internship and pass
an examination.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionists use their knowledge and expertise to
help individuals make unique, positive lifestyle changes, and are advocates
for advancing the nutritional status of Americans and people around the world.
You can find Registered Dietitian Nutritionists working throughout the
community; often in hospitals, schools, public health clinics, nursing
homes, fitness centers, the food management and food industry, universities,
or research and private practices.
Frederick Memorial Hospital would like to thank our team of dedicated Registered
Dietitian Nutritionists for their hard work and dedication to the health
and well-being of the Frederick Community!
