creating a sacred space for you to explore what your mind and body have

Meet Kandi Austin
Kandi Austin began her yoga practice in 2005; amazed by the changes she
experienced in her health and well-being, Kandi felt compelled to share
the transformative gift of yoga with others. In 2007, she received her
200-hour teaching certification from yoga's preeminent education and
support organization, Yoga Alliance. In 2009, she completed her certification
for prenatal yoga at Kripalu in Massachusetts. Kandi continues her training
now in a 300-hour advanced teacher-training program.
Kandi leads her gentle classes with honor and joy, guiding others in the
pursuit of health and wellness in body, mind, and spirit through the practice of yoga.
Kandi teaches Gentle Yoga on Tuesdays at 11:30 am and Thursdays at 11:00
am. Kandi teaches Pre-Natal Yoga on Wednesdays at 5:45 pm. To sign up

Meet Margy Smariga
Margy is an experienced yoga teacher and yoga therapist, trained in the
Viniyoga Tradition. She is a graduate of Bagheera Yoga/Pruyoga’s
200-hour teacher training, the American Viniyoga Institute’s 500-hour
advanced teacher training and yoga therapist training. Additionally, Margy
has completed professional trainings in yoga for seniors and yoga for
cancer patients. Margy has taught group yoga classes since 2005, and she
currently offers group classes, private yoga therapy sessions, and therapeutic
workshops in Frederick, MD, and the surrounding area.
In a previous life, Margy spent 30 years as a writer and an editor, and
her strong communication skills have aided in her work as a yoga teacher.
Margy teaches Senior Yoga on Mondays at 12:30 pm, Tuesdays at 10:00 am,

Meet Maryann Brandenburg
Maryann obtained her Kripalu 200-hour yoga certification in March 2009
after retiring from a 30-year nursing career. Maryann pursued a 500-hour
yoga certification with completion from Kripalu in March 2015. She has
taught yoga classes for seniors in Middletown and at local fitness centers,
and general yoga class for Frederick Memorial Hospital for the past 7 years.
With a focus on flexibility, strength, balance, and joyfulness; Maryanne
enjoys teaching seniors, hatha yoga, prenatal, restorative, and chair
classes with emphasis on body, mind and spirit connection; with compassion
based on each student’s needs.

Meet Lori Henry Love
Lori loves to incorporate breath work, also known as pranayama, alignment,
and fun into all of her yoga classes. Lori is a Prana Flow instructor
with more than 12 years of experience. She has trained in the Shiva Rea
lineage, and is currently completing her 500-hour yoga certification in
Ayurveda Hatha Yoga with Maria Garre.
Lori holds certifications in yin and restorative yoga, has been a Power
Pilates Mat Certified instructor since 2004, and is working toward comprehensive
apparatus training. Lori has a personal training designation and is known
to swing a kettlebell—not in yoga class of course!
Lori holds a Bachelors of Science degree in journalism, and has worked
in the management, sales, and marketing fields. She holds a Life Coaching
Certification from Soul Salt Academy. When Lori is not teaching, she is
happiest spending time with her three children and looking for the best
hiking trails in the area.
