Nutrition Counseling

Before, During and After Pregnancy

FMH Nutrition Counseling is an individualized approach toward improving your diet before pregnancy in order to conceive, manage your weight during pregnancy, or lose excess weight after pregnancy.  We also assist people in healthy, balanced meal planning for their families and new baby from newborn through adolescence.

You can begin your path to better pre-pregnancy health with an individual consultation provided by one of our registered dietitians.  They will get you started with recommendations and/or a food plan designed to meet your likes and dislikes and accommodate your busy schedule.  Those seeking weight loss after pregnancy may choose to incorporate one or two of our nutritionally complete beverages which act as a meal replacement into your food plan or go with an all-food plan; it's really up to your individual needs.

In each session, held at the FMH Wellness Center at the FSK Mall, the dietitian will confidentially address your needs and discuss the tools used to make important lifestyle changes.  Staying healthy is a long hard road, a process that takes commitment and discipline.  We feel strongly that regular follow-up appointments will help provide the needed support and education necessary for success. That's what sets this hospital program apart from all the others.

A Program Manager and two Dietitians coordinate the nutrition program.  All of our dietitians are registered and licensed in the State of Maryland.

We have consultations available at a variety of times during weekdays, evenings and Saturdays to meet the demands of your busy schedule.

Call the FMH Wellness Center at 240-379-6020 to schedule your consultation and get started!
